Experienced Newborn Photographers
Boyd Photographers have been photographing babies and children for over 25 years and have a wealth of experience in dealing with newborns.
Clients have booked their baby photography from as far as South Africa, from clients coming to Scotland to visit relatives. proving that Boyd Photographers have a reputation for consistently providing professional images to cherish for years to come.
Many clients are nearer home, from places such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, and the Borders.
Newborn Studio Sessions
Typically a baby photography session last up to 2 hours which allows for set changes and, if need be, feeding of the baby.
The studio session includes a photograph for the parents, and two smaller keepsakes for the grandparents.
To qualify as a newborn, babies should be photographed before they are 21 days old, or be less than 10lbs in weight. This is to ensure they are still small enough to fit into the props used in the photography sessions.
Newborn Appointments
To be sure of being able to book an appointment, it is recommended that clients should get in touch at least 6 weeks prior to the birth. A provisional appointment can then be provided based on your due date, the actual appointment is confirmed a day or two after baby's arrival.
Boyd Photographers also photograph older babies and children and are happy to discuss the options and packages available.
